KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interpret user stories and requirements effectively.
- Contribute to acceptance criteria ensuring they are testable.
- Proficient in ad hoc testing and smoke testing methodologies.
- Document and communicate testing outcomes clearly.
- Prepare and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) events with team members and stakeholders.
- Provide test support coordination as necessary.
- Conduct testing on software releases throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Design comprehensive test plans, procedures, scenarios, test cases, and scripts to accurately evaluate new products or software updates based on customer specifications and company standards.
- Establish and refine testing processes.
- Engage in agile project planning and execution.
- Collaborate with customers, vendors, and various departments to troubleshoot issues causing test failures.
- Work independently on projects while also contributing in a team environment.
- Address direct inquiries from customers while maintaining close communication.
- Identify, analyze, and document issues encountered during testing, including software defects and functionality problems, collaborating with developers to devise solutions and retesting strategies.
- Communicate effectively with testing personnel, users, developers, and clients to ensure swift problem resolution and accurate documentation of successes.
- Provide ongoing feedback to developers, including suggestions for enhancements, problem evaluations, potential solutions, and further testing requirements.
- Exhibit critical thinking and strong communication skills.
- Maintain and update test cases throughout project lifecycles.
- Create test data to validate both functional and technical requirements.
- Track issues, resolutions, and bug fixes during testing, compiling a comprehensive database of defects and successful mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to the enhancement of testing processes for the benefit of the team and final products.
- Adapt efficiently to shifting priorities, managing multiple project responsibilities while remaining responsive to changes.
- Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Participate actively in agile project planning and execution.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience.
- Possession of a Secret clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS), also known as Azure DevOps, or similar project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
- Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment is advantageous.
- Background in Navy or Navy Reserve is a plus.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Willingness to travel up to 10% (to Tennessee).
