Talent on Fire Consulting, a premier arts organization on Boston's South Shore, is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Musician to join our team as an Artistic Therapist.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music therapy, with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy or a related field, and board certification in music therapy (CBMT). Proficiency in clinical musicianship on piano, guitar, and voice is also required.
This position offers an estimated annual salary of $63,500 based on the requirements and qualifications outlined below.
About the Opportunity:The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of music therapy clients, providing both individual and group music therapy sessions. They will use music therapy, dance therapy, and accessible yoga to enhance wellness among children and adults with diverse health and developmental challenges.
Responsibilities:- Implement goal-directed music therapy sessions for groups and individuals with diverse abilities, skills, and needs.
- Prepare and maintain music therapy session plans, observations, progress reports, attendance, and materials as required.
- Communicate with necessary stakeholders to coordinate music therapy services.
- Collaborate with our Creative Arts Therapies team, Community Engagement department, and others to develop and deliver effective treatment.
- Maintain board certification (MT-BC) through continuing education and professional development.
- Participate in individual and group supervision as scheduled.
- Adhere to the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice, as set forth by the American Music Therapy Association and the Certification Board for Music Therapy.
This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and intrapersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary team members.
