Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at AdventHealth Waterman. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify all medications for correctness and appropriateness before distribution to patient care areas.
  • Dispense medications for the correct patient in the correct dose, dosage form, and amount at the right time.
  • Review physician orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness, intervening with prescribers as needed and documenting interventions.
  • Perform renal dosing adjustments, IV to PO conversions, therapeutic interchanges, and other medical staff-authorized policies and procedures.
  • Consistently document interventions performed on a patient's behalf.
Requirements
  • Minimum of Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school. Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
  • Currently licensed as a Clinical Pharmacist in the state of Florida.
  • Completion of PGY1 preferred.
  • ACLS from American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PGY2 critical care or equivalent experience.
  • Board certification in critical care pharmacy (BCCCP).
