**About the Role:**

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Support Specialist to join our Pastoral Care Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our pastoral care programs and services, and maintaining the highest level of customer service.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Pastoral Care in coordinating daily activities of the department, including managing staff schedules, coordinating funeral Masses and memorial services, and ensuring the timely delivery of pastoral care programs and services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the department, including streamlining processes and improving communication among staff members.
  • Recruit and manage guest visiting clergy for monthly Ecumenical Worship Services, and establish and maintain relationships with clergy in Webster and Irondequit.
  • Manage the scheduling of Priest coverage for liturgical celebrations, and oversee the financial transactions of the department, including budgeting and accounting.
  • Prepare payment for five priests for Masses said monthly, and manage holiday and liturgical decorating of the Chapel.
  • Coordinate the purchase of supplies and materials for both campuses, and train volunteers who assist with data entry, copying the bulletin, and scheduling Masses.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as religious studies, pastoral care, social work, or creative arts.
  • Experience in office management, and a combination of education and experience progressively responsible experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, clergy, and residents.
