Job Title: VP of Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced VP of Engineering to lead our engineering team at Galaxy Group. As a key member of our Executive Leadership Team, you will be responsible for driving automation and capital improvements throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manufacturing Excellence: Develop and implement plans and procedures to maintain high standards of manufacturing operations, ensuring products meet customer and company quality standards.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Lead, train, and mentor the engineering team to foster a culture of growth, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Standards and Procedures: Develop and implement standards and procedures to ensure quality and consistency across engineering projects.
  • Budget Management: Prepare and optimize engineering budgets to ensure efficient allocation of resources.
  • Process Improvements: Recommend manufacturing developments and improvements to enhance efficiency and stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to align engineering efforts with business objectives and customer needs.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong organizational leadership skills with extensive experience managing and developing engineering teams.
  • Proficiency in engineering and software programs.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and project management tools.
  • Deep knowledge of aerospace or tooling experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to connect with engineers, developers, and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Willingness to travel 20% of the time.
