Job Title: Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Nurse to join our team at Rady Childrens Hospital - San Diego.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill children with cardiac conditions, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients with cardiac conditions, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care.
  • Monitor and manage complex cardiac conditions, including arrhythmias, cardiac failure, and post-operative care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate dosing and administration.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
  • Engage in ongoing education and professional development, staying current with best practices and advancements in pediatric cardiac care.
Requirements:
  • Current CA RN license in hand or pending with ETAs.
  • 2+ years of CVPICU/CTICU experience, with a focus on pediatric cardiac care.
  • PEDS Cardiac experience - MUST be cardiac trained.
  • Heart transplant experience preferred.
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including nights and weekends, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Self-scheduling available.
