Transmission Technician Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Transmission Technician to join our team at Colonial Chevrolet of Acton. As a Transmission Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing transmission issues in various makes and models of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair transmission and drivability issues in vehicles
  • Perform routine maintenance on transmissions
  • Inspect and test vehicles to identify potential transmission problems
  • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble transmissions
  • Ensure all work is performed accurately and efficiently
  • Keep detailed records of all repairs and maintenance
  • Communicate with customers regarding the status of their vehicles
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Automotive Transmission Technician
  • Strong knowledge of transmission systems and operation
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • ASE certification is a plus
