Network Engineer Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team at Advanced Logic. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our clients' network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement network architectures and technologies
  • Architect and implement solutions using Business Continuity and Data Protection technologies
  • Assist with requirements gathering for proper design/installations
  • Work closely with OEM, break-fix and integration vendors during systems implementation and troubleshooting
  • Participate in meetings with customers, providing input on various initiatives
  • Collaborate with third-party support and service vendors to ensure systems stay operational (support during an outage)
  • Prepare client documentation including network designs, network assessments, implementation plans, and post-implementation documentation
  • Follow up with client, provide feedback and see problems through to resolution
  • Keep apprised of patches, latest technologies, and upcoming infrastructure installations
  • Research new technologies

Requirements

  • Extensive ASA firewall experience
  • Extensive Meraki experience
  • Extensive routing experience (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.) including configuration, redistribution and troubleshooting
  • Able to work with minimal direction

Preferred Skills/Certifications

  • Active CCNP certification (Security, Route/Switch)
  • Extensive Packet Capture experience - fluent with Wireshark a plus
  • Knowledge of Palo Alto and Fortinet networking products is a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft, EMC, Pure or VMWare is a plus
