Job Summary

Thorlabs is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring packages are shipped on time and in accordance with sales order instructions, as well as receiving and processing incoming materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pick and pack orders in a timely and efficient manner, utilizing a hand-held scanning device.
  • Verify and maintain accurate records of outgoing shipments, including weights and shipping charges.
  • Assist in loading trucks and vans, and ensure packages are correctly labeled and routed.
  • Track and organize inventory, including receiving and processing purchase orders.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience, with previous experience in inventory control and shipping/receiving.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, or equivalent work experience.
  • Familiarity with computer software applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Axapta.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to work well in a team environment, and adapt to changing priorities.
