Nuclear Medicine Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Trident Medical Center. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in nuclear medicine technology and excellent communication skills. They will be responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, performing diagnostic studies, and providing administrative services to the diagnostic imaging department.
Job Responsibilities- Prepare, measure, and administer radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic and therapeutic studies, utilizing various equipment while following prescribed procedures.
- Calibrate equipment to ensure accurate results.
- Perform diagnostic studies on patients as prescribed by physicians, using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and produce counters, scalers, and scintillation detectors.
- Administer therapeutic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under the direction of physicians.
- Follow radiation safety techniques in use and disposal of radioactive materials.
- A graduate of an accredited AMA program with a certificate or degree in Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology.
- Registered with the ARRT and/or NMTCB or eligible for registry.
- A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification.
- 1-3 years of experience in nuclear medicine technology, preferably in a hospital setting.
