POSITION SUMMARY
This role is primarily responsible for the operation of machinery and equipment used in the production of inks, as well as the manufacturing and packaging of various fluid products. Maintaining a clean and organized workstation, equipment, and products is essential.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operates machinery and equipment for ink production.
  • Measures, weighs, and blends raw materials to create inks (including water, solvent, UV/EB, or oil-based).
  • Interprets batch tickets and adheres to established work processes and procedures.
  • Completes documentation accurately by recording information on batch tickets, labeling containers, packaging inks, and inspecting products as per customer specifications.
  • Ensures production schedules and quality metrics are met.
  • Adheres to all safety and regulatory compliance protocols.
  • Participates in required meetings and training sessions.
  • Engages in inventory control activities.
  • Handles loading and unloading tasks.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by production management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Experience and/or Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
The Ink Production Specialist should demonstrate a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, attention to detail, cleanliness, honesty, and reliability.
  • Prior experience in batch-making or compounding is essential.
  • Experience in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment is preferred.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Capable of operating a Powered Industrial Truck (forklift, pallet jacks, lift trucks, etc.). Training for operating industrial trucks will be provided by the company.
  • Must possess basic math skills to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in various units of measure, including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to make sound judgments regarding the sequence of setups, operations, and processes within standard operating procedures.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position is physically demanding and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day. Specifically, the Ink Production Specialist must be able to:
  • Frequently lift weights ranging from 25 to 50 pounds.
  • Roll and maneuver drums of product weighing between 500 to 550 pounds.
  • Possess specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Be certified as medically fit to wear the required safety respirator.
  • Be prepared for exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, fumes, and other elements typical of a warehouse environment.
