About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Outpatient Therapist to join our team at CARE Counseling in the Twin Cities, MN area. As a member of our Behavioral Care Team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mental health care services to individuals in need.

In this rewarding position, you will have the flexibility to work remotely*, as well as in our office, while taking on challenging cases and engaging with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform intakes, diagnostic evaluations, and prepare treatment planning while engaging in client therapy practices and following guidance from your supervisor.
  • Engage in crisis interventions, stabilization, and de-escalation for clients experiencing mental health symptoms or emotional responses, prioritizing their safety.
  • Timely and accurately document all client interactions as dictated by law, ethical standards, board requirements, and CARE Counseling policy.
  • Contribute to creating a positive atmosphere with other staff and clients.
Requirements
  • Masters or Doctoral Degree in Behavioral Science/related field (Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Education, etc.).
  • Active, independent clinical license as a Mental Health Professional in Minnesota (LP, LPCC, LICSW, LMFT).
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Hybrid work arrangement: at least 2 days on-site, requiring a distraction-free space in your home with high-speed internet access.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in outpatient mental health settings.
  • Treatment planning and caseload management skills.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from internal and external stakeholders.
