Job Summary

We are seeking a Laboratory Shift Supervisor to oversee the Advanced Diagnostics section of Anatomic Pathology. This individual will be responsible for supervising direct reports, managing employee performance, and providing ongoing performance feedback. The successful candidate will also be responsible for orienting and training employees, verifying competency, and identifying ways to develop skills through teaching and continuing education opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of laboratory professionals
  • Perform various laboratory tests and procedures, including biological, chemical, hematological, immunological, immunohematological, microbiological, and serological tests
  • Independently research and assist in the development of new procedures, compile and evaluate data, and perform statistical analyses
  • May serve as key operator for the implementation of new equipment and procedures
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology, or a chemical, physical, or biological science
  • Three years of experience in Immunohistochemistry
  • ASCP certified as either a Histotechnologist (HTL) or Histotechnician (HT)
