Reporting To: Materials Manager
Position Summary:
The Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The employee must consistently meet the company's expectations for attendance and performance while enhancing their skills as guided by supervision to achieve operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all safety protocols.
- Understand and comply with ISO standards relevant to the organization.
- Utilize computer systems effectively.
- Identify and locate various electronic components.
- Employ scales, reel counters, and label printers as necessary.
- Operate hand trucks or pallet jacks when required.
- Accurately assess inventory levels as needed.
- Identify part numbers and ensure correct placement.
- Navigate the software system to accurately monitor cycle counts.
- Engage in lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate within a high-performance team, supporting various tasks as directed.
- Master and apply proper scanning techniques as instructed.
- Meet established performance standards consistently.
- Communicate supply needs promptly throughout the workday.
- Document actions and performance in accordance with current procedures.
- Contribute to team objectives by completing assigned tasks and maintaining accurate records.
- Follow directives and complete necessary paperwork.
- Ensure that all materials are properly labeled before use or movement.
- Maintain accuracy in all inventory counts.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Comply with all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Demonstrate flexibility in performing various tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of cycle counting experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to learn and apply safety standards, ISO procedures, and quality protocols.
- Strong mathematical skills for accurate counting and calculations.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with legible penmanship.
- Physical capability to lift at least 40 lbs.
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work efficiently without compromising quality or safety.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Capacity to read and interpret shop prints and work orders accurately.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Punctuality and adherence to shift schedules are essential.
Work Location: In-person
