Job Title: Registered Nurse

Stanton Nursing Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Supervisor. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to our residents and leading a team of dedicated nurses.

Job Summary:

The Nurse Supervisor will be responsible for supervising a group of nurses, ensuring they provide the highest quality of care to residents. This includes hiring, orienting, monitoring skills, and training. The successful candidate will work closely with doctors, obtain medications, and maintain accurate records of treatment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise nursing unit, including scheduling and directing nursing staff
  • Coordinate effective use of personnel, supplies, equipment, and facilities
  • Contact physicians as necessary and ensure timely and appropriate interventions
  • Review staffing patterns and census of nursing units, reassign personnel as needed
  • Investigate complaints and take necessary action to resolve problems
  • Responsible for total nursing care of residents in the assigned unit
  • Assume responsibility for compliance with Federal, State, Local, and company regulations
  • Explain procedures and treatments to residents
  • Transcribe physician's orders to resident charts, medication cards, and care plans
  • Chart progress notes in an informative and factual manner
  • Receives and gives report to nurse relieving or coming on
  • Follows established procedures for charting and reporting incidents
  • Conducts frequent rounds to evaluate effectiveness of care delivery
  • Prepares equipment and aids Physician during treatment and examination
  • Observes resident, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or Physician
  • Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs
  • Responds to emergency situations based on nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol
  • Assists in completion of care plans and participates in care conferences
  • Participates in investigations related to alleged abuse
  • Ensures that progress notes are reflective of the care plan
  • Monitors that documentation is completed daily
Requirements:

Current State Registered Nurse license with a minimum of 2 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Good standing in the state registry is required.
