Responsibilities
  • Perform all custodial duties throughout the facility, including dusting, washing, and wiping down surfaces.
  • Maintain sanitary conditions in the facility, including collection and disposal of trash and debris.
  • Clean and maintain cooler and dry warehouse areas, including sweeping and mopping floors.
  • Preserve floor care using power equipment in assigned areas.
  • Maintain parking lots and front sidewalks to ensure a clean and safe appearance.
  • Remove trash or other property damaging elements, such as nails and glass.
  • Complete daily sanitation log to provide documentation for planning and evaluation of sanitation activities.
  • Support the stretch wrap and cardboard recycling program, including transportation of materials to the balers and tying of materials.
  • Dust and vacuum warehouse racks.
  • Remove cobwebs from the warehouse area to maintain sanitary conditions.
  • Clean restrooms, including urinals, toilets, sinks, counters, and mirrors.
  • Work effectively with immediate supervisor to minimize warehouse shrink.
  • Responsible for the neatness and cleanliness of assigned work areas and travel aisles.
  • Maintain the accuracy of warehouse product locations when performing slot cleaning.
  • Report any unfixable or unsafe issues to the supervisor.
  • Observe and enforce all safety rules to reduce accidents and injuries.
  • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and orderly manner.
  • Ensure that material handling equipment is maintained and clean, and report repair or service needs to the supervisor.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1-year warehouse-related experience and/or training.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must work independently with minimal supervision and have strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a varying schedule, including shift work, weekdays, and weekends. The job is primarily performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to fast-moving material handling equipment, freezer/cooler warehouse environments, and other hazards.
