About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician I to join our team at Deckers Brands. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance activities to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform skilled and semi-skilled facility maintenance activities, including patching and painting walls, patching floors, replacing lights, and repairing racking and office furniture
- Perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance activities on conveyor equipment, including minor troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance
- Document all work activities, including labor, parts, and inventory used, and close work orders to provide documented records of maintenance performed
- Follow lockout-tag out procedures, confined space procedures, and other safety and environmental procedures and policies as required
- Complete pass down logs to inform co-workers of the operational status of the facilities
About You
We are looking for a team player with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations. You should have 2-4 years of experience with facility maintenance in a medium to large distribution center or manufacturing operation.
Requirements
- Experience working around conveyors, pneumatics, AC/DC motor skills, and industrial electrical systems
- Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and work with high and low voltage, AC and DC
- Strong understanding of OSHA compliance and ability to work effectively under pressure
