SUNY Brockport is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Residence Director to join our team. As a key member of the Office of Residential Life and Learning Communities, you will play a critical role in developing safe, inclusive, and vibrant communities that value academic excellence and overall student development.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement educational programming to support student learning and development
- Provide crisis responses and support to students in need
- Manage occupancy and ensure a safe and inclusive community experience for residents
- Collaborate with students, staff, and faculty to create a positive and engaging residential environment
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field
- Ability to work in a diverse college population and commitment to creating an inclusive environment
- Experience with student learning and development
- Ability to climb stairs, complete rounds, and physically respond to duty calls within residence halls
- Master's degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education, Counseling, or a related field
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively on departmental initiatives
- Experience designing and implementing student learning outcomes
- Experience with current technology initiatives
Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm. Minimum salary is $39,661. Benefits eligible. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
