Position Title: Logistics Transport Specialist (CDL B)
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
As a key representative of Airgas, the Logistics Transport Specialist is tasked with the safe and efficient transportation of compressed gas cylinders to various business clients within the region. Utilizing a company-provided straight or box truck, you will engage in the loading, unloading, and delivery of these products while maintaining a strong rapport with our customers.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Safely loading, transporting, and unloading cylinders containing compressed gases to designated customer locations.
- Recording all deliveries and pickups accurately on a load manifest, ensuring customer signatures are obtained for receipt verification.
- Collecting empty cylinders or unsold merchandise and returning them to the appropriate facility for refilling.
- Fostering positive customer relationships by addressing service inquiries and resolving complaints effectively.
- Communicating any changes or issues experienced during deliveries back to your manager or the assigned sales associate.
- Maintaining accurate load manifests and vehicle documentation, ensuring compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
- Conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any deficiencies and ensuring all safety equipment is functional.
- Assisting in warehouse operations or dock activities as needed.
Are you a MATCH?
- Possession of a valid Class B Driver's License.
- Current Medical Examiner's Card.
- Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications (or the ability to obtain these certifications as a condition of employment).
- A minimum of one (1) year of prior Class B professional driving experience within the last five (5) years, with a clean driving record.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- In lieu of experience, a diploma from an accredited driving school may be considered, along with at least one (1) year of prior driving experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Compensation: Pay Range: $24-28/hr
