The Department of Corrections Executive Leadership is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. As a Social Worker, you will play a critical role in assessing problems and capabilities of assigned individuals, formulating case plans, monitoring progress, providing counseling, and developing and referring individuals to appropriate resources.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and address the needs of assigned individuals, including developing and implementing case plans to promote positive outcomes.
- Provide counseling and support to individuals and their families, addressing issues related to behavior, mental health, and social functioning.
- Collaborate with other correctional staff, parole agents, and community resources to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting individuals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community resources and service providers to ensure access to necessary services and support.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices and evidence-based approaches in social work.
To be considered for this role, you must possess an active Social Worker credential issued by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services. In addition, for direct hire at the Social Worker - Senior level, you must have a non-Training Certificate Social Work Credential and 12 or more months of social work experience with correctional clients or 2 or more years of total social work experience.
