We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Pilgrim's. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Construct, maintain, and test mechanical equipment, machinery, and components to ensure optimal performance.
- Identify parts or machines that require new or replacement parts, and implement repairs or replacements as needed.
- Utilize shop mathematics to complete assignments and interpret drawings of equipment to properly adjust, maintain, or repair machinery.
- Respond to requests from production areas when mechanical issues with equipment have been identified, and communicate with production management and personnel to diagnose problems and determine potential mechanical issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance to prevent equipment downtime and ensure efficient production.
- Complete assigned tasks with accuracy and efficiency, in regards to time as well as resources.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; technical school preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment.
- General mathematic ability required to perform job.
- Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings.
- Basic knowledge of standard and metric measures.
- Ability to work assigned days/shifts, including some weekends.
