SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Radiologic Technologist (CT, MRI, or IR) to join our team in Brooklyn, NY.

Job Summary:

The Department of Radiology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist (CT, MRI, or IR) to perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Performing MRI, CT, or IR procedures with established protocols, with minimal supervision
  • Providing patient care while performing imaging, including accuracy of patient identification, correct procedure, and correct laterality
  • Dealing with emergent situations involving patient care issues
  • Coordinating patient schedules to ensure timely completion of procedures
  • Maintaining a safe and clean environment in the MRI, CT, or IR area
  • Ensuring all exams are completed immediately in RIS and verified on PACS
  • Performing daily/weekly/monthly quality assurance on MRI, CT, or IR equipment and documenting results
  • Informing supervisor when equipment is offline and contacting service
  • Attending all department-sponsored in-services relative to MRI, CT, IR, and departmental issues
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • New York State Licensed Radiological Technologist with DOH injection certification required to perform MRI and CT exams
  • ARRT certified in X-ray
  • Current BCLS certification
  • Maintain all required CE's for continued certification
Preferred Qualifications:

ARRT certified in MRI, CT, or IR, 2+ years of experience in all diagnostic MRI, CT, or IR radiology procedures, and hospital experience are preferred.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 4:00pm to 12:00am (Full-Time Evenings)
