JROTC Army Instructor

The Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District seeks a highly qualified JROTC Army Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our educational staff, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our students and preparing them for future success.

• Assist the Senior Army Instructor in coordinating with school officials and the JROTC Directorate to establish procedures for the administration, control, and education of students enrolled in the JROTC program.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners and promote academic excellence.
• Collaborate with district personnel, the general public, and work with diverse groups of people to achieve program goals.
• Meet physical standards outlined in Cadet Command Regulation and be honorably retired not more than three years from the United States Army in the grade of E-6 thru E-9.
• Pass a national background check, to include fingerprinting, and have no history of violence towards children.

• JROTC certification or attain an associate degree within five years of hire.
• Experience working with youth and culturally diverse groups.
• Ability to apply critical thinking skills in rendering solutions to various issues.
