The Adjunct – HVAC position involves delivering high-quality instruction and fostering a positive learning environment in the classroom. The incumbent will provide instruction and evaluate student performance in courses assigned by the Department Chair or other leadership members. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:- Instruction & Student Learning: Teach assigned courses, design curriculum that promotes diversity and inclusivity, and utilize technology to enhance the learning experience. Maintain accurate records and communicate progress feedback to students.
- Student Engagement & Advisement: Create a positive classroom atmosphere, maintain posted office hours, and use technology to facilitate communication with students. Advise students on program and career options, and refer them to relevant support services.
- Culture of Respect: Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment, promote accessible and inclusive curriculum design, and ensure a safe and respectful workplace.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Five (5) years of industry experience in the HVAC field
- State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to access work sites
$55.88 per contact hour
Two hours equal one contact hour
Maximum of 12 contact hours per week
