Responsibilities
Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
Implement and monitor patient care plans and equipment
Communicate patient condition to healthcare team members
Perform advanced respiratory care modalities
Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust treatment plans as needed
Requirements
BLS and ACLS certification
National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
Ability to stand for extended periods
Strong technical skills
Knowledge of medical terminology
Passionate about patient care
Minimum of three years of current Respiratory Therapist experience
Graduate from a fully accredited Respiratory Therapist program
Active unencumbered Respiratory Therapist Iowa state license
One year of Cerner experience
Skills/Abilities/Competencies Required
Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills
Participates in relevant continuing education programs
Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients
Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise
