Job Summary

Audubon Companies is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead complex and large-scale projects in the Environmental Services business unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and execution of projects, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary interface between the project team and the client representative, serving as the face of Audubon to the client.
  • Create, execute, and revise project execution plans to meet client requirements and project metrics.
  • Identify and manage resources needed, ensuring team responsibilities are clearly defined.
  • Oversee day-to-day operational aspects of assigned projects, ensuring timely completion and quality deliverables.
  • Ensure all deliverables are reviewed, approved, and signed off prior to issue to the client.
  • Ensure the project team adheres to Audubon standards and procedures.
  • Review project transactions and report any discrepancies on a weekly basis.
  • Approve invoices within a 48-hour turnaround.
  • Maintain resource planning on assigned projects.
  • Manage project budgets and schedules.
  • Remain accessible to clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing a single point of contact for timely and effective issue resolution.
  • Mentor junior Project Managers and/or Environmental Scientists/Planners.
  • Drive the Management of Change philosophy and enforce corresponding procedures.
  • Serve as the champion for safety and quality on the project.
  • Review and approve subcontractors' contracts and invoices.
  • Oversee the overall execution of projects.
  • Possess a detailed understanding of and execute the sales/Business Development process.
  • Understand the relationship between multi-discipline deliverable packages, including procurement and construction activities.
  • Consistently acknowledge and appreciate team members' contributions.
  • Effectively utilize each team member to their fullest potential.
  • Motivate the team to work together efficiently.
  • Keep track of lessons learned and share those with team members and peers.
  • Mitigate team conflict and communication problems.
  • Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes, along with possible solutions.
  • Lead and/or participate in internal teams/task forces.
  • Analyze project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates, efficiency, and utilization.

Experience and Skill Requirements

  • Education: Minimum of an Associate's Degree and 15 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Education Preferred: BS Environmental Science/Ecology, Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of industry-related experience as a Project Manager.
  • Experience Preferred: 10 years of experience as the Project Manager on large multi-discipline projects, business development success.
  • Working knowledge of scheduling techniques and software.
  • Knowledgeable in cost estimating and control.
  • Able to communicate effectively in a group setting.
  • Understanding of all applicable discipline deliverables.
  • Financial Management.
  • Understanding of complex revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections, and making decisions accordingly.
  • Understanding of our pricing model and billing procedures.
  • Able to accurately forecast revenue, profitability, margins, bill rates, and utilization.
