RN Supervisor

Job Summary:

VestraCare is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our nursing services department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursing units and ensuring the highest level of care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Director of Nursing in directing, coordinating, and supervising the Nursing Services Department.
• Schedule and assign nursing staff as needed for the department.
• Responsible for maintaining the standards of nursing care and practices within the facility to meet the needs of our residents and their families.
• Support nursing staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
• Ensure all policies and procedures are being followed at all times while also making suggestions for improvements.
• Provide information to Residents and healthcare team.
• Maintain documentation of Resident care services.
• Perform other position-related duties as assigned, depending on the assignment setting.

Requirements:

• Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state of New York required.
• Minimum of 1-year RN experience required.
• Must have strong assessment skills as well as interpersonal skills.
• Education or experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing is preferred.
• Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable.
• Strong customer service skills and compassion.
