Agricultural Engineer Trainee

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Agricultural Engineer Trainee to join our team at Southeastern Cyber LLC. As an Agricultural Engineer Trainee, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of agricultural practices and technologies.

• Conduct research and provide briefings on various assigned topics, including biology, botany, computer science, and economics.
• Write technical documentation and research papers to support research and development efforts.
• Develop and document prototype agricultural practices, devices, sensors, and software.
• Conduct experiments and document findings to inform the development of new agricultural technologies.
• Operate and maintain existing agricultural systems, and improve their efficiency and effectiveness.
• Perform various manual agricultural tasks, including crop irrigation, pruning, planting, and harvesting.

• Possess a strong interest in robotics, biology, botany, agriculture, electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or software engineering.
• Develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills to adapt to a changing environment.
• Apply fundamental knowledge of the scientific method to complete all steps of the scientific process.
• Write technical documentation and research papers to communicate research findings.
• Develop basic computer skills in Windows, Linux, Unix, or MacOS, and perform office automation work.

• Read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
• Successfully attend and complete required classes and certifications.

The Agricultural Engineer Trainee will work 50% in an office setting and 50% outdoors in an agricultural setting. The position requires moderate work with regular lifting of up to 30 pounds or more, carrying supplies, and equipment. The ability to sit or stand for extended periods is also required.

Travel within the Continental United States (CONUS) to support tasks and requirements may be required.
