The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team in a correctional setting. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a critical role in providing mental health services to inmates/detainees/residents (I/D/R) and contributing to the overall well-being of our population.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluation and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations and diagnoses of I/D/Rs to identify mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.
- Mental Health Functions: Coordinate mental health functions, including supervising and training staff members, to ensure the delivery of high-quality mental health services.
- Treatment and Intervention: Provide psychotherapy or counseling for psychological disorders or mental illness, and make referrals to psychiatrists as necessary.
- Documentation and Reporting: Document services provided and comprehensive notes in patient medical records, and provide regular updates to management.
- Staff Training and Education: Instruct staff and officers in recognizing suicide risk factors and provide in-service education for medical and correctional staff as required.
- Education: PhD or PsyD in Psychology from an accredited University.
- Licensure: Current license in Psychology in the State in which the facility is located or licensure/certification in accordance with the contract requirements.
- Experience: Two (2) years of correctional work experience is preferred.
The GEO Group, Inc. offers a competitive salary of USD $160,000.00/Yr and a comprehensive benefits package.
