Job Title: Bus Driver

AVANT GARDE ACADEMY FOUNDATION, INC. is seeking a skilled Bus Driver to transport students and staff safely and efficiently.

Job Summary:

The Bus Driver will be responsible for operating a school bus to transport students and staff to and from school, as well as to extracurricular activities and field trips.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify the bus is in good working condition before each use.
  • Transport students and staff safely and efficiently.
  • Adhere to the bus schedule and arrive at designated locations on time.
  • Monitor and maintain a safe and respectful environment on the bus.
  • Complete required paperwork and reports.
  • Perform routine bus maintenance and report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Valid Florida Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with endorsements.
  • Five years of licensed driving experience.
  • Ability to pass a five-year driver's license review.
  • Ability to pass a physical examination and reflex test.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Standard high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingual skills.
  • Computer skills.
Work Environment:

The Bus Driver will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent contact with students, parents, and staff.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is $18.00 per hour, with opportunities for advancement and professional growth.
