Position Details:
This is a full-time, permanent role that allows you to demonstrate your technical skills in a fast-paced setting. As an Industrial Maintenance Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include performing both preventive and corrective maintenance on various engineering equipment and systems to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems to maintain operational efficiency.
- Diagnose and repair issues in hydraulic and pneumatic systems using advanced troubleshooting methods.
- Utilize a range of power and hand tools for repairs and maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Program and troubleshoot PLC systems to enhance machine performance.
- Apply welding techniques to repair or modify equipment as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to coordinate maintenance tasks.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they escalate, leveraging your problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Operate machinery as required, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and propose strategies to enhance efficiency and minimize downtime.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the engineering sector is essential.
- Proven expertise in preventive maintenance, repair procedures, and machinery operation.
- Strong understanding of power tools, hand tools, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting is crucial.
- Solid electrical skills with the capability to diagnose and rectify faults in various systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex technical concepts in straightforward terms.
- Demonstrated welding proficiency.
- A commitment to safety and quality, with a history of adhering to safety standards.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, effectively managing time to meet project deadlines.
- Relevant trade certification or diploma is considered an asset.
