POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Aseptic Process Engineering and the upkeep of related equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead the design, installation, start-up, and commissioning of equipment and production lines in accordance with Nestlé's Good Hygienic Engineering principles.
  • Provide technical support for aseptic filling and sealing operations, as well as PET bottle manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with quality, operations, and safety teams to ensure operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations regarding aseptic product filling.
  • Participate in various validation processes, including Process Validation and Aseptic Process Simulations.
  • Deliver technical expertise, problem-solving skills, project management, and mentorship to peers and team members.
  • Drive improvement initiatives focused on equipment performance, capabilities, and efficiency.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in Aseptic processes.
  • Manage engineering and optimization projects, including new technology implementation and process development.
  • Foster relationships with key OEMs and support strategies for equipment maintenance.
  • Provide technical insights during audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Oversee contractor management to meet project and budgetary goals.
  • Draft and review essential documents such as Preventive Maintenance plans, Standard Operating Procedures, and validation documents.
  • Contribute to project justifications and engineering proposals, including capital planning inputs.
  • Work collaboratively with other engineers and global colleagues.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Food Engineering or a related field is required, with a preference for candidates with a focus on the food and beverage industry.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • A minimum of 3 years in Low Acid Aseptic Filling Technology within a food and beverage environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the engineering and maintenance of high-speed rotary aseptic filling technology using PET bottles.
  • 2 years of experience managing PAA applications in aseptic filling processes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in factory maintenance and process engineering.
  • Proven track record in process control solutions.
  • International work experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed.
  • Knowledge of PET bottle manufacturing processes.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
  • Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in end-to-end Capital Project Management.
  • Knowledge of process qualification and validation in the food, beverage, or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Familiarity with FDA & GMP/GAMP regulations.
