We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Produce Department Manager to join our team at W. Lee Flowers. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of our produce and floral department.
Key Responsibilities- Department Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the produce and floral department, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, including ordering and receiving produce and floral products, to ensure that we have the right products in stock at the right time.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise and train a team of produce and floral department staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are meeting their performance goals.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Financial Management: Manage the department's budget, including forecasting sales and expenses, to ensure that we are meeting our financial goals.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all produce and floral products meet our high standards for quality and freshness.
- Compliance: Ensure that all departmental operations are in compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as any relevant laws and regulations.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g. horticulture, business) preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in a produce or floral department management role.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; knowledge of produce and floral operations; ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and 25 lbs. constantly.
