In this role, you will perform mammography procedures under the supervision of a qualified physician and use x-ray technology and techniques to assist in the screening and diagnosis of patient medical problems for patients throughout the age continuum.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all types of mammography studies to include screening, diagnostic and interventional procedures.
  • Practice radiation safety for patients, staff and self.
  • Use sterile technique as required.
  • Optimize patient anatomy through proper positioning and selection of technical factors.
  • Operate all mammography equipment and support systems to include HIS, RIS, Scheduling System, PACS, perform and evaluate images for technical quality.
Requirements

A graduate of a school of radiologic technology with current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required. ARRT certification in mammography is required within six months of eligibility. A valid state medical radiographer license is also required. Basic Life Support (CPR) certification is required.
