Handyman Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Handyman Assistant to join our team at Glendale Communities LLC. As a Handyman Assistant, you will work closely with our senior maintenance professionals to perform general maintenance tasks and repairs for our facilities.

Responsibilities:

To be successful in this role, you must be eager to learn and willing to take on new challenges. Your duties will include:

* Performing minor maintenance tasks, such as painting, replacing light bulbs, and caulking, under the supervision of senior maintenance personnel.
* Maintaining the appearance of our properties, including monitoring grounds and common areas daily, maintaining the landscape, and snow removal.
* Cleaning units in preparation for occupancy, including appliances, fixtures, floors, and removal of trash left in units.
* Demolition of vacant units under supervision.
* Participating in an on-call rotation to answer after-hours service calls.
* Ensuring compliance with fire and building codes, and reporting any potential safety or building code violations to your supervisor.
* Performing snow removal duties as directed by your supervisor, including shoveling, blowing, and laying salt on icy surfaces.
* Maintaining the integrity of our communities by ensuring confidentiality of resident and company information.
* Performing other minor duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

* A mechanically inclined mindset
* A valid driver's license and clean driving record
* If possible, owning basic hand tools required (hammer, pliers, screwdrivers, etc.)
* Ability to meet established deadlines
* A personable and professional attitude
