Job Overview: Colonial Williamsburg Company is seeking a skilled Horseman to join our team. As a Historic Coach Driver, you will be responsible for driving carriages in the Historic Area, taking visitors for scheduled rides. You will also interpret driving, travel, and transportation in 18th-century Virginia with an emphasis on carriages and horses. This role requires a deep understanding of horse care and carriage maintenance. Our ideal candidate has general knowledge and practical skills in working with horses and carriages, gained through at least two years of experience in a similar operation.

As a member of our team, you will assist Livestock Husbanders in the care and movement of sheep, cattle, and poultry. You must be able to administer medical aid to livestock as assigned by the veterinarian. Additionally, you will enter information into the RTP system for purchased carriage rides. A valid Commonwealth of Virginia driver's license and an acceptable driving record are required for this position.

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. If you have a proven ability to handle machinery, such as mowers, trucks, and trailers, and can work alone with livestock safely and with initiative, we encourage you to apply. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in driving horses, CAA Certification Level 1, and knowledge of the care of sheep, cattle, and/or poultry.
