The Respiratory Care Specialist will assess, plan, and administer respiratory care to patients of all ages, from neonatal to geriatric. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities- Provide emergency, critical care, and general care respiratory services to patients
- Act as a patient advocate and uphold patient rights
- Accurately document patient information and verbal orders
- Recognize and integrate patient special needs and individualize care
- Maintain a therapeutic relationship with patients, families, and significant others
- NJ Respiratory License, RRT or CRT
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Knowledge of electronic medical records and medical terminology
- Intermediate computer skills and excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods and lift, push, and pull
