About This Role

We are seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Journeyman Service Technician to join our team at Carrier. As a Journeyman with our company, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service to our customers, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions in heating and cooling systems.
  • Perform regular maintenance on heating and cooling units to ensure optimal performance.
  • Install, replace, or repair equipment, including thermostatic controls, heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning parts, and low- and high-pressure liquid lines.
  • Assemble and install metal ductwork to ensure efficient airflow.
  • Assist in planning and designing new installations of heating and air-conditioning systems.
  • Provide estimates of materials required for projects.
  • Repair and replace damaged parts and equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams.
  • Read and interpret City, State, and EPA regulations.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and their representatives.
  • Safely operate company vehicles, machinery, and equipment.
  • Recognize risks and safety hazards commonly found in HVAC operations and implement appropriate controls to ensure safe work.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • 5+ years of practical working experience in the HVAC Industry.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs or more.
  • Ability to stand, crawl, sit, squat for extended periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic understanding of building automation controls.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience using Salesforce and ServiceMax is a plus.
