We are currently seeking a Food Services Team Leader to join our dedicated team.
In this role, you will support Food Service Managers in the organization, coordination, and assessment of work activities within the Food Service Department. You will step in for the Food Service Manager during their absence and manage resources in your designated area to enhance quality and customer satisfaction. Ideal Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of two years of experience in the food service industry, with the ability to be cross-trained across various roles.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- At least two years of experience in a food service-related role, with the capacity for cross-training.
- Preferred: One year of supervisory experience; vocational training in Business, Nutrition, Dietetics, or Culinary Arts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. Proficiency in computer skills is necessary for various job functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fulfill duties related to Food and Nutrition Services as required.
- Serve as a role model for staff in all aspects of Food and Nutrition.
- Provide leadership and guidance to Food and Nutrition Associates.
- Assist Associates in establishing priorities and monitoring the quality of work performed.
- Help train, motivate, and support Food and Nutrition Associates.
- Address daily operational challenges as they arise.
- Ensure that the needs of the areas supported by Food and Nutrition are met, including meal delivery, catering, and cafeteria services.
- Participate in departmental meetings.
- Understand and adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with standards for Infection Control, OSHA, and Health Department regulations.
- Respond to emergency situations as necessary.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
