Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our team on a per diem basis. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

About the Role: As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, you will provide direct patient care to a diverse population in a fast-paced correctional mental health setting. You will be responsible for assessing patients, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery. Your expertise in psychiatric-mental health nursing will be invaluable in providing comprehensive care to our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, develop treatment plans, and implement interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive care delivery and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide education to patients and families on disease management, medication adherence, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring timely documentation of progress and any changes in condition.


Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Nursing or a related field.
  • Current California Registered Nurse License without restriction.
  • Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
  • Experience working in correctional mental health settings or similar environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
