Job Title: Software Developer

We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our team at the Y-12 National Security Complex. As a Software Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and modifying enterprise-wide systems and software applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop high-quality software solutions using languages and infrastructures such as C#, ASP.Net, MVC, HTML 5, Entity Framework, Visual Studio, and Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Implement and integrate Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) technologies into existing solutions.
  • Collaborate with project shareholders to scope, estimate, and provide overall technical expertise in implementing solutions that adhere to company software quality assurance and cyber security policies.
  • Work closely with functional and business team members, project management, enterprise architects, system engineers, and application developers to design and develop enterprise applications based on approved architecture and business requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline.
  • Master's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline.
  • Eight or more years of education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Programming languages and frameworks (C#, HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, React, TypeScript, Blazor, ASP.Net, ASPX.Net, MVC, Entity Framework, WebAPI, Telerik).
  • Oracle or other relational database management systems with experience in SQL and PL/SQL, Extensible Markup Language (XML), and structured data formats like JavaScript Object Notation (JSON).
  • Implementation of or integration with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML technologies and enterprise search technologies like Elastic to detect, categorize, and prioritize data sets in web-based search returns (optional).
  • Web server technologies such as Microsoft IIS and Apache Tomcat.
  • Integrated Development Environments such as Visual Studio/Visual Studio Code.
  • Version control tool such as GIT, SVN, or other code repositories.
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery with AzureDevOps.
  • Effective communication skills and demonstrated success in a team environment.
  • Experience with ITIL processes and agile development is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
