Position Summary:
As a Sputter Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of specialized tools within a Media manufacturing production line, specifically in a class 100 cleanroom environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently, show initiative, and collaborate effectively with team members. Key attributes include a willingness to learn, adaptability, creative problem-solving skills, and strong communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance as per established schedules and the Manufacturing Maintenance Manual (MMM) for assigned equipment.
- Accurately document preventive maintenance activities on PM checklists, maintaining a detailed history in the tool logbook.
- Troubleshoot and resolve unscheduled equipment failures, identifying root causes and selecting appropriate down codes for Equipment Engineers to enhance Mean-Time Between Failure (MTBF).
- Utilize Resource Viewer and Forum Notes to document maintenance activities and equipment performance.
- Collaborate with Shift Managers, Leads, and Equipment Engineers to improve preventive maintenance cycle times, tool availability, and overall quality, while minimizing wafer scrap and ownership costs.
- Provide technical training and certification for maintenance staff.
- Assist Tool Owners and Equipment Engineers in defining and drafting preventive maintenance procedures.
Qualifications:
- Technical degree in Electronics or relevant experience in the Semiconductor industry.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with Vacuum Technologies.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematic diagrams and assembly drawings.
- Understanding of failure mechanisms with the capability to isolate and repair issues.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Forum Notes.
- Effective team player with proven communication and relationship-building skills across various functions including Maintenance, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Management.
- Familiarity with control systems and/or PLC (Process Logic Control).
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
Essential Skills:
- Advanced Equipment Maintenance Technician expertise.
- Experience with Vacuum Sputtering and Lean systems.
