Endocrinology Physician Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Endocrinology Physician to join our dynamic healthcare team in a fulfilling opportunity near LOCUST VALLEY, NY.
Job OverviewThis Endocrinology Physician position offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary, sign-on bonus, malpractice insurance, and continuing medical education (CME) reimbursement.
Responsibilities- Patient Evaluation:
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including reviewing medical history and performing physical examinations.
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Endocrinology Care:
- Diagnose and treat patients with a range of hormonal diseases and conditions.
- Provide cost-effective diabetes care, leveraging the support of certified diabetes educators and registered dietitians.
- Management Recommendations:
- Offer personalized management recommendations to patients, including preventive health advice and habits.
- Prescribe medications and develop ongoing treatment plans to ensure effective disease management.
- Patient-Centered Care:
- Deliver relationship-centered care, taking into account patients' physical and psychosocial needs.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Effectively communicate with the clinical team to ensure seamless delivery of quality care.
- Participate in on-call phone answering responsibilities, rotating with other Endocrinologists every six weeks.
- Educational Participation:
- Engage in medical staff educational programs and meetings to stay up-to-date on the latest medical knowledge and best practices.
- Degree: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Residency: Completion of a three-year postgraduate medical training program in Internal Medicine from a U.S. accredited residency program.
- Fellowship: Completion of a two-year postgraduate medical training program in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism Medicine from an accredited fellowship program.
- Experience: Open to both experienced and newly trained providers.
- Certification: Board Eligible/Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology.
- License: Current, unrestricted New York State license.
- Registration: DEA registration or eligibility for registration.
- Enrollment: Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or eligibility to enroll.
- Certification: BLS or ACLS certification required.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Technology Comfort: Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Microsoft Office.
