Job Title: Dishware Attendant

About the Position

The Dishware Attendant plays a crucial role in enhancing the dining experience for residents, family members, and guests at Grand Living. This individual is accountable for the safe operation of the dish machine, ensuring a clean and organized dish area, and providing exceptional service with a professional, friendly, courteous, helpful, and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Loading, running, and maintaining the cleanliness of the dish machine.
  • Providing a neat, clean, and organized dish area.
  • Working under the general guidance of the Executive Chef to maintain community standards, processes, procedures, practices, and philosophies.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful as a Dishware Attendant, you must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • One year or more of fine dining or restaurant experience is preferred.
  • The ability to read, write, and understand the English language to communicate effectively with colleagues, residents, and guests.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to use kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • The ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull, and work continuously without sitting for extended periods.
  • The ability to lift or carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds.

Estimated Salary: $35,000 - $45,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
