The Lead Cloud Operations Engineer will play a crucial role in managing a diverse array of application portfolios and technologies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee the intricate engineering and integration of cloud applications, security measures, and infrastructure architecture.
  • Assess the needs and specifications of current and future systems, crafting detailed technical and organizational frameworks.
  • Monitor enterprise architecture and IT systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with relevant federal regulations.
  • Manage the lifecycle of cloud infrastructure equipment, including requirements engineering and capacity planning.
  • Contribute to the development and upkeep of cloud infrastructure and application architecture.
  • Identify departmental requirements and provide recommendations for technical direction.
  • Implement security measures and data assurance protocols for the Azure cloud platform.
  • Configure and deploy software applications across various organizational units.
  • Conduct testing on cloud software applications and systems.
  • Analyze user needs for current and future applications.
  • Create flowcharts, diagrams, and comprehensive documentation.
  • Develop manuals and detailed instructions for various administrators (Application, System, Data, Network, and Security).
  • Evaluate cloud requirements and develop technical specifications for existing and proposed systems.
  • Understand the movement of infrastructure components and data throughout the system.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot data processing issues.
  • Possess knowledge of SSO, SOA, PowerShell, Red Hat Linux, application integrations, scripting, cloud technologies, and data security concerning PII and PHI.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with Azure cloud technologies, demonstrating the skills necessary for the responsibilities outlined.
  • Hands-on experience working with clients and vendor partners to implement solutions and enhance business processes.
  • Proficient in scripting and data management.
  • Experience mentoring junior cloud engineers and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.
  • Able to work independently and adapt to changing priorities to meet project deadlines.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience in cloud services, including 5-7 years of direct Azure experience.
  • Solid understanding of Azure platforms and architecture within an Agile DevOps framework; AWS experience is a plus.
  • Strong familiarity with cloud automation tools and processes.
