Nurse Resident

The Nurse-Resident role is a dynamic opportunity for new graduate nurses to launch their careers in a supportive and comprehensive environment. As a Nurse-Resident, you will attend quality and core curriculum classes, actively participate in professional development workshops and peer support groups, and successfully complete all clinical competencies and validation requirements of the Nurse Residency Program.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment: Collect patient data, complete required forms, and identify patient problems/needs.
- Planning Care: Develop a plan of care based on nursing process and incorporate the plans of other disciplines.
- Implementing/Managing Care: Provide care that conforms to accepted practice standards, explain nursing procedures, and provide discharge teaching.
- Evaluation: Record patient care delivered and make observations related to impending or associated problems.
- Leadership: Delegate nursing care to appropriate personnel, integrate cost-effective measures into nursing practice, and recognize unit problems.
Associate's degree in Nursing required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing program approved by the South Carolina State Board of Nursing required. No previous experience is required. Candidates with greater than 12 months of experience are not eligible.
Preferred QualificationsLicensed to practice as a RN in South Carolina. BLS required. In lieu of RN licensure upon hire, a temporary license/Graduate Nurse licensure may be accepted upon receipt of diploma, authorization to test, and NCLEX testing date.
