About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Processor Power Management Verification Engineer to join our team at Apple. As a key member of our verification team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the functionality and correctness of our processor power management and clock control logic.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with architecture and RTL designers to verify the functionality of power management and clock control logic
  • Develop and execute test plans and schedules for power management and clock control logic
  • Develop tests in Assembly, Scripts, System Verilog, or vectors to drive testing in simulation and emulation environments
  • Root cause failures and propose potential solutions to the design team
  • Work with silicon bringup team to develop tests that work in emulation and FPGA environments
  • Aid silicon debug in related parts of the design
  • Develop coverage monitors and analyze coverage to ensure all test cases are covered
  • Develop checkers or Verilog/System Verilog-based transactors to verify the design
  • Write assertions and apply formal verification to the design
Requirements
  • Minimum BS and 10+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Extensive experience in processor verification
  • In-depth knowledge of digital logic, micro-processor, and power management architecture and microarchitecture
  • Expertise in developing test plans, testbenches, Verilog/System-Verilog-based transactors, and checkers, and writing/debugging assembly-based tests
  • Experience in assertions, silicon bringup, UPF, and low-power simulation is a plus
  • Experience with advanced verification techniques such as formal verification is a plus
