Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the organization’s Incident Response Program, driving enhancements and facilitating collaboration across teams.
- Ensure alignment with industry standards for incident tracking, focusing on mitigation strategies and readiness for response.
- Develop comprehensive knowledge across various security domains, including application security, risk management, and policy governance.
- Assist in the collection of evidence and maintenance of audits for organizational assessments.
- Engage in all facets of application security, including conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Coordinate evidence collection and responses for security and IT due diligence as part of third-party risk management.
- Stay informed about known vulnerabilities in application technologies utilized within the organization.
- Lead initiatives to address findings from audits and security assessments.
- Contribute to the development of information security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with various internal departments such as Compliance, Legal, IT, and HR to promote security practices that benefit the organization.
- Track and report on security metrics and updates related to the Inspira Security Program.
- Provide mentorship to junior Security Engineers.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in security engineering.
- Technical certifications are advantageous.
- Self-motivated with a strong blend of technology, security, and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with the Financial or Insurance Services Industry is preferred.
- Intellectual curiosity to innovate solutions for cybersecurity challenges.
- Ability to interpret and analyze systems effectively.
- Proficient in building strong, respectful relationships with IT and business units to integrate security into operations.
- Strong client service orientation and excellent communication skills.
- Experience in high availability environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of NIST and CIS frameworks is preferred.
