Contract Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Manager to join our team at Management Recruiters of Zionsville. As a Contract Manager, you will be responsible for the daily leadership and management of our transportation facility, ensuring seamless contract fulfillment and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive performance and accountability in all areas.
  • Oversee daily operations, including hiring and firing, to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Ensure timely and efficient service, prioritizing passenger wellbeing and safety.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with contracted customers, maintaining strong relationships and providing excellent customer service.
  • Monitor revenue contract administration and compliance, ensuring accurate financial operations and timely submissions to Corporate departments.
  • Accountable for location profit and loss, monitoring monthly variances and developing action plans to achieve budget and forecast targets.
  • Oversee necessary financial operations, including approval of invoices, labor costs, fuel costs, and maintenance spend, ensuring compliance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement route labor standards, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and minimizing overtime.
  • Assist with HR matters, labor relations, processes, and investigations, ensuring compliance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure maintenance of records and compliance with licensing and safety requirements, including DOT, Federal, and State regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with Company Safety Policies and Procedures, prioritizing a safe and secure work environment.
  • Monitor vehicle usage, ensuring appropriate inspection and certification, and efficient utilization of spares as required by the revenue contract.
  • Ensure compliance with the company maintenance policy and procedures, ensuring a well-maintained facility and equipment.
  • Control programs and functionality of ancillary equipment, including cameras, radios, and GPS, ensuring seamless operation and efficient utilization.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent; College degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the transportation industry.
  • Managerial experience preferred.
  • CDL required.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work early morning hours.
  • Must maintain a professional and respectful attitude toward fellow employees and customers.
