Join Our Team as a Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer - Safety Systems

At Lucid Motors, we're pushing the boundaries of luxury electric vehicles and mobility. We're seeking a highly skilled Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer - Safety Systems to lead our efforts in ensuring the highest quality standards for our safety systems.

About the Role

This is a critical position that demands technical expertise and leadership skills to guide suppliers and internal customers in resolving quality issues and ensuring seamless product transitions. As a Sr. SQE - Safety, you'll be responsible for managing mass production suppliers, ensuring best-in-class quality, and safeguarding manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of quality plans, design test methods, and gages to ensure supplier quality.
  • Investigate supplier quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform supplier audits and site inspections, develop process improvement plans, and drive implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure supplier quality issues are contained and Lucid customers are protected.
  • Develop and maintain performance metrics to measure supplier quality.
Requirements
  • BS in Engineering, MS preferred.
  • 5+ years of high-volume manufacturing and assembly plant experience supporting automotive safety components.
  • Engineering analysis experience, including tolerance analysis, stress analysis, mold flow analysis, and DFM.
  • Hands-on supplier quality, SQE, APQP, and PPAP experience.
  • Excellent analytical and technical writing skills, with a comprehensive understanding of quality standards and specifications.
  • Certification preferred - American Society for Quality, Six Sigma Black Belt, etc.
